Illustration Friday: Ocean

This week's post is a cover concept for a book I illustrated about a family of fish. The challenge was to make each family member, which consisted of two brothers, a mother and a father, very distinct yet similar enough enough to be a family. The main character depicted on the cover is the littlest brother. 

Character creation is so much fun and rewarding. I am usually asked to illustrate more realistic people in real life settings. so this was a very enjoyable project for me.
